Good afternoon and welcome to the “afternoon cup of coffee.” I know it doesn’t sound as good but we will provide you with that late afternoon jolt of inspiration we need on a Tuesday. Grab your team for a quick stand up meeting and discuss this…
Too often it is praised to say “I don’t know.” It is looked at as a way to be vulnerable. I get it. I understand it. I just don’t believe that is the end of it. If you don’t know, that creates a mentality in the other of a lacking of ability or competence. We don’t want that. If you don’t know, don’t let it stop you from finding out.
Make sure you say “I WILL FIND OUT.” Go research, go ask questions, and do your due diligence in order to find out exactly what you din’t know. Use it as a second opportunity to have a conversation, make a sale, and/or find a way to help serve them. Touch points are always good things.
I don’t know is no longer good. It certainly isn’t good enough. Add “I WILL FIND OUT.”
What do you need to learn to find out what it needed?
Who can help you find that answer faster?
How can you deliver on your promise of getting that information back to the other person?
Hope this helps you and your team. Have an amazing day and God bless.
