Good morning to all y’all (in my Texan accent). We are here and ready to rock out this Fryday. Grab a cup of coffee and grab the person next to you. We will bring the inspiration and motivation with us. Let’s get it.
Today’s article is all about what we can do to create the steps forward. Too often, it is the wait that kills our dreams, ideas, and solutions. We refuse to let what we’ve done in the past hurt you or stop you from moving forward to accomplishing your dreams/goals.
Here are 2 ways we can create those steps forward.
1. Count down from 5 and then LAUNCH. I got this from Mel Robbins and it helps me immensely. When you hit 0 you are up and making the moves. It might be to count down and then make the call you have been dreading but need to make (my old dating days). It might be to have that face to face conversation. Either way, count down and LAUNCH yourself.
2. Make it easy. A little too easy (ninja turtles reference there). What hinders us typically, is the fact that what we have to do or compare ourselves to is extremely difficult. Not today. Not here. If fitness is your goal, make it easy. Go hit the treadmill, stairs, bike, outside, for just 7 minutes. Make the goal of practicing the guitar for just 5 minutes. Make your goal so easy you can’t help but do it.
BONUS
When you do it, celebrate it! Do it quickly. Pat yourself on the back and then set another small goal/task up and go after it again.
