You know what time it is! Time to grab that cup of coffee, that coworker, and get your booty to where you can hear/read this. We will bring the inspiration and you bring the coffee.
The only rule we ask is that you consider what is being presented to you.
We want you to rid your vocabulary of PERFECTION. #1 because it ain’t gonna happen. Not in competition, match, presentation, or meeting, will you be perfect. Stop expecting it.
Expect perfection and you will get 2 things…
Procrastination. Expecting perfection stifles you from the great ideas or solutions that just need to be tinkered with. They need to be molded like clay before becoming amazing. Wanting the perfect keeps you from moving forward. It keeps you in paralysis.
Decreases your Playfulness. Creativity isn’t perfect. Creativity allows for success and a lot more error. When you expect perfection you play and create less. Nothing is good enough. ALERT. ALERT. ALERT. Nothing is ever good enough in the early stages. Not the iPhone, Disney, Starbucks, etc. Increase your playfulness.
Can you think of a time when perfectionism kept you from moving forward or kept your creative side at bay? What is one thing you could do today that could help you move forward or create something fun?
