Who Wants To Be Around You PT. 2?

We decided we would add a second piece and make Who Wants to Be Around You a little series. We know the successful leaders do these extremely well. As you read these 5 today, they should spark a leader or organization in your mind.

We hope this gently pulls at your heart strings as thinking about the leaders you adore, respect, and admire might just allow you to see the greatness inside of yourself. Check these next 5 skills you can do to pull/influence others around you.

1. Change People’s Language - The second law in The Three Laws of Performance is “How a situation occurs arises in language.” When you change the language, you alter their thinking. When you alter the thinking, you leave the potential to imprint on their world.
2. Be the CHEER SECTION - Ever watched a game at Cameron Indoor or Arrowhead Stadium? Those fans are so fanatical and energetic, it can intimidate most people. Be their cheer section. Be loud. Be supportive.
3. Push them to their SWEET SPOT - Try pushing your members a little harder and a little harder. Challenge your team to create the sweet spot where they are just on the edge of capability and inability. Stretch your team a little further.
4. Add some INVOLVEMENT - Once you know what their passions are, you can plant those passions into their work. Adding little things can improve their work performance, attendance, and increase joy at work.
5. Be a Genie- Grant your team permission. Let them share, open up, ask questions, make mistakes, be wrong, succeed, thrive, WIN. Giving them permission might be one of the most powerful things you can do.
