STRONG LEADERSHIP REQUIRES GREAT RELATIONSHIPS

Leadership requires good relationships with your leaders, teammates, those above you, those below you, and those beside you. Great teams have these relationships within one another. The better the relationships the more connected the team can be in open and honest communication. When this happens, your team gets stronger.

Strong relationships opens the door for you/your team/and the team leader (boss, manager, teacher, CEO). The stronger the relationship the more manageable the tough and challenging times will be.

And, there will be tough times. There will be times when you do not see “eye-to-eye” with the leader. When it becomes hard to see their point of view or decision-making process, it will be helpful to ask these 4 questions

-How much could be gained by approaching and trying to alter their plan?

-How much of your concern is due to your ego?

-Are you looking at it objectively, and without emotion?

-Will your questioning the issue, move your relationship closer or further away?
