As we begin to look out our windows in hopes that we see some sort of sight of spring, we are flooded with ideas of new life. My wife has the garden all planned out. She’s got the green beans, jalapeños, bell peppers, and a ton more.
We are hit with a promise of doing a better job planting our plants. But, none of this matters if we don’t focus on what we feed, how much sunlight, and the care needed for each of these plants.
Think about the palm tree. If it is in Florida, you’re going to have a thriving palm tree that can stand against the hurricanes. Put it in New York or heck, St. Louis, and it will not grow.
The environment we create and are a part of matters. Do you think that you are creating an environment that helps each team member thrive? If that is a yes, why are they not thriving? If they are thriving, how can you continue this environment?
It is important, massively important, to be aware of the team as well as your own environment. Do you have people that challenge you? Do you have people that will help you be able to be flexible against the mightiest winds?
