Heed Their Speed

Great leaders inspire. They inspire through the avenue of listening. Huh? Yuuup. They simply listen and leave a place for the person to experience their own understanding.

Great leaders will walk alongside you, listen, and help facilitate the process of you finding out the answer on your own. Great leaders provide the assist, not the slam dunk.

As leaders, our goal is to help those we serve better themselves as seeing, searching, speaking, doing, knowing, studying, and finding on their OWN!

As a leader, you will need to heed their speed. How do you suggest we do that? Each person has their own process. Respect the speed. Don’t push or force, but be the leader that provides little nudges along the way. Help those you serve get to their own ideas, thoughts, or solutions, without you supplying the answer to them. Use this as a gauge to see where they are at.

Try asking them what their options are. This opens up for the world of possibilities. This will allow them to look for different avenues in order to solve problems.

What might be a way in which you spark discovery?
